The Scabbling Advantage

Increased Traction Area - Scabbling provides a shallow groove which allows an animal's hoof to touch the bottom of the groove.

Traction along the groove - Chipping a groove provides a gripping edge that sawing or other grooving can't provide.

The Width - Scabbling has a great advantage over any other type of grooving. The wide groove provides up to 40% more traction area than conventional grooving.

The Cost - Scabbling costs up to 50% less than other types of grooving.

Conventional diamond-sawn safety grooves.

Every year we scabble across thousands of square feet of this and other types of grooving. See photo below.
